*Shri Sai University Palampur motivates students for All India Competitive Examinations* – Vice Chancellor Prof. Saryal *

Vice Chancellor of Shri Sai University, Prof. Ashok Saryal, while addressing more than 150 postgraduate students today, threw light on the competitive examination of All India Civil Services. Giving information about the closing date of March 5 for the preliminary examination, he motivated the students to participate in this important competition. He said that in last year’s Civil Services Examination, the selection from Himachal Pradesh were negligible despite more than 25 universities are providing higher education in the state. Some of these have even achieved the NAAC A++ grade from UGC. Comparatively, 29 candidates were placed in the top 100 list from Haryana and 11 from Jammu and Kashmir. He instructed all the eligible students to register for one time online to participate in the UPSC examinations and those students who want to pursue career option in All India Civil Services and All India Forest services should apply before the last date. He said that the academic environment of the university is gearing forward in providing employment to the students and enabling them for competitive exams like UGC National Eligibility Test, CDS, HP Administrative Services and Banking etc. for which students will have to imbibe values like hard work, consistency, discipline and time bound plans. Apart from competitive examinations, efforts to provide employment to students through Campus Placement Drive are also highlighted.
He emphasised the important role of women and their increasing prominence in various fields. He advised the students to aim high with excellence. His empowering message resonated deeply among the students, instilling a new sense of inspiration and determination to strive for greatness. Program coordinator Dr. V.P. Patial, Student Welfare Officer, thanked the Vice Chancellor for motivating the students to participate in competitive examinations and assuring enabling academic environment in the University.
