Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Sanjay Kundu, an IPS officer from the 1989 batch who made headlines for booking Palampur-based businessman Nishant Sharma, is set to retire today. The Supreme Court reinstated Sanjay Kundu in January after the high court had ordered his removal on the plea of businessman Nishant Sharma. CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will select the next police chief from three contenders.
