Vipul and Rakhi Best Athletes of Sri Sai University, Palampur
The annual sports competition of Sri Sai University concluded. As many 150 players participated in 17 sports in the two-day sports competition Vipul student of Sri Sai School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research & Miss Rakhi student of Sri Sai School of Business Studies were declared the best athletes in the women’s and men’s categories, respectively. Chief Guest Vice Chancellor Professor (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Sarial presented trophies to the athletes and honoured the first and second winners of various competitions by giving them medals and certificates. The exciting competition of the awards ceremony was a tug-of-war competition between women teachers and students in which the students were victorious. Addressing the players, he highlighted the importance of sports along with education. It is necessary for every student to participate in physical activities and sports in daily life for his all-round development and to stay fit. Dean of Student Welfare, Dr. V.P. Patial welcomed the Chief Guest and encouraged the students to be enthusiastic and maintain sportsmanship to participate in sports. Dr. N.N. Sharma, Pro-Vice Chancellor focused his views on student participation in sports.
In the end, Dr. Deepika Kaushal, Coordinator Sports, passed the vote of thanks and with the national anthem, the Chief Guest announced the closure of the sports meet.
