To commemorate the 47th birth anniversary of Kargil War Hero Amar Shaheed Captain Saurabh Kalia, Inter-School Science Exhibition Competition was organized on 29.06.2024 at D.A.V. Public School, Palampur. In which about 50 students from 23 groups of schools of Kangra and Hamirpur region participated. D.A.V.Public School-Rahan, A.B.M. Schools-Thakurdwara, Scholars International School Ghurakkadi, Mother’s Touch School Palampur, D.A. – V. Public School Gauju, D.A.V. Public School Dehra Gopipur, D.A.V. Public School – Hamirpur, Anuradha Public School Maranda, D.A.V. Public School Palampur, D.A.V. – Public School Alampur, D.A.V. Public School – Lajhayani, D.A.V. Public School – Bankhandi, D.A.V. Public School Manei, Jai Public School Banuri, D.A.V. Public School – Dharamshala, D.A.V. Public School Narwana Yol, D.A.V. Public School Kangu, Spring Dale Convent School Jwali, Kendriya Vidyalaya-Holta, A.M.D.P. Dhauladhar Public School Yol – Cantt, D.A.V. Public School Bharoli Nadine, Neugal Public School Vindravan and Shivalik – Radiance C.S. School attended by Panchrukhi. The competition was inaugurated by the chief guest – Dr. Sudesh Kumar Yadav – Director, Himalayan Institute of Bioresource Technology, Palampur.
Shri Sukhdev Bhardwaj, Chairman, Ajanta Chemical Industries India, was the special guest in this competition and with his courtesy, a copy of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta was given to all the participants. Dr. Aparna, Dr. Vipin Halan and Dr. SK Vats were present as the jury in this competition. D.A.V. Principal of Public School, Palampur, Shri V.K. Yadav ji heartily greeted and welcomed the guests present on this occasion.
D.A.V Dharamshala got first position in the competition. Vansh Chandel and Achyut Ranaut, students of Public School Dharamshala,
second place A. B.M.C.Sai. Arsh Awasthi and Anshav Parmar, students of Thakurdwara School, and Naveen Kumar and Divyansh, students of Scholars International School, Ghurakkadi, got the third position. In the competition, the respected parents of Martyr C. Saurabh Kalia, Mrs. and Mr. (Dr.) N. Of. Kalia and brother Vaibhav Kalia were present with the entire family. In his address, the chief guest highlighted the incidents related to the life of immortal martyr Saurabh Kalia and praised the participants for their scientific approach. At the conclusion of the program, Vaibhav Kalia ji thanked all the visitors.
