खरड़ (Tricity Times): खरड़ के जाने-माने समाजसेवी अरुण कुमार ने पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री को पत्र लिखकर शहर की स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं और नगर परिषद अधिकारियों की लापरवाही को उजागर किया है। उन्होंने पत्र में बताया कि कैसे नगर परिषद के अधिकारियों की कार्यशैली से पूरे शहर की सेहत खतरे में पड़ रही है।
सीवरेज और बरसाती पानी की समस्या
अरुण कुमार ने बताया कि खरड़ शहर के 85% हिस्से में सीवरेज पाइपलाइनों में बरसाती पानी के पाइप जोड़ दिए गए हैं, जिससे सीवरेज ओवरफ्लो की समस्या लगातार बढ़ रही है। यह स्थिति शहर में गंदगी और बीमारियों को बढ़ावा दे रही है, जो नागरिकों के स्वास्थ्य के लिए गंभीर चिंता का विषय है।
नगर परिषद अधिकारियों की नाकामी
समाजसेवी ने नगर परिषद अधिकारियों पर गंभीर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि उनकी लापरवाही और गैरजिम्मेदाराना रवैये के कारण नागरिक जानलेवा बीमारियों का शिकार हो रहे हैं। उन्होंने पिछले दो वर्षों का डेटा निकालकर जांच करने की मांग की है, ताकि यह पता चल सके कि इन समस्याओं के चलते कितने लोग प्रभावित हुए हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री से हस्तक्षेप की अपील
अरुण कुमार ने मुख्यमंत्री से आग्रह किया है कि वे इस मुद्दे पर तुरंत हस्तक्षेप करें और नगर परिषद के अधिकारियों को इस लापरवाही के लिए जवाबदेह बनाएं। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि समय रहते कदम उठाने से शहर के नागरिकों की कीमती जानें बचाई जा सकती हैं।
यह पत्र न केवल प्रशासन की खामियों को उजागर करता है, बल्कि नागरिकों की स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए ठोस कदम उठाने की आवश्यकता पर भी जोर देता है।

Sir, today I have come to the office of Municipal Council Kharar, but till 12.35 in the afternoon there is no one in this office. No responsible officer including Executive Officer Sahib is in the office nor does anyone in this office know about his coming to the office or whether he is in the office. When will these officers come? Sir, people are yearning for drinking water. But Sir, there is no flow of citizens of Kharar to the officers of Municipal Council Kharar. Sir, the most surprising thing is that the present Executive Officer in Municipal Council Kharar, also has the charge of Municipal Council Naya Gaon District Mohali. Sir, area of Kharar Municipal Council is very large and the population here is also very high, yet Kharar Is it right to give charge of another municipal council to a senior municipal council officer?
