*Sri Sai University, Palampur celebrated Environment Awareness Day*

On the occasion of  Environment Awareness Day at Sri Sai University Palampur ,The Vice Chancellor Professor Ashok Sarial planted trees along with NCC cadets and students. Students presented poster exhibition. Addressing students he said that World Environment Day is a platform to raise awareness on environmental issues like water pollution, rising population, global warming, sustainable development and wildlife crime. According to the United Nations Convention, 40 percent of the world’s land has become polluted, which is directly affecting half of the world’s population. In the exhibition, students expressed sustainable living, awareness on plastic pollution and issues related to Mother Earth and suggested appropriate measures to control the devastating effects of climate change. Pro VC Dr. N.N. Sharma inspired the students to take active steps towards environmental protection.
