*Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University Bids Farewell to Er. Vijay Premi After 40 Years of Distinguished Service*

Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University’s Senior Officer Er. Vijay Premi’s Retired after serving nearly 40 years.

Palampur, September 30, 2024

A dignified ceremony was organized at Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, Palampur, to mark the retirement of senior officer Er. Vijay Premi, who served the university for nearly 40 years.

Er. Vijay Premi was born on October 1, 1964, in Chountra village, Hamirpur district. He completed his primary education at Government Primary School, Pandvi, and higher education at Government High School, Maid. He obtained technical education from Polytechnic College, Hamirpur.

Premi began his career as a junior engineer on June 18, 1984, and worked diligently in various positions at the university. He was promoted to assistant engineer in October 2000 and served at the Agriculture Marketing Board, Shimla, until May 2017. In May 2019, he was given additional charge as executive engineer and promoted to regular executive engineer on November 6, 2020.

During his service, Premi made significant contributions to the university’s development. His family, including his wife and two children, supported him throughout his career. His wife is a successful homemaker, while his son is an engineer in Gujarat and his daughter and son-in-law reside in Singapore.

Mr.Premi is known for his prompt and precise work style. He treats every project as his personal task and completes it with dedication and efficiency. His colleagues affectionately call him “Super Computer” and “Professor” due to his exceptional knowledge of engineering and administration.

As engineer, Premi oversaw numerous construction projects across the state, leveraging his expertise to ensure timely completion. His tenure at the Agriculture Marketing Board witnessed significant accomplishments, earning praise from officials.

The university’s officers and staff thanked Er. Vijay Premi for his services and wished him a happy post-retirement life.

In his emotinal address Er. Premi said:

“Today, as I retire, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Agriculture University, Palampur, for providing me with the platform to reach this milestone. My growth and success are solely attributed to this esteemed institution.

I extend my sincere thanks to Agriculture University, Palampur, for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped my career. I am grateful for the support and guidance I received from my superiors, colleagues, and peers.

I also take this opportunity to thank my revered teachers and beloved parents, whose blessings and encouragement have been instrumental in my journey. Their unwavering support has helped me achieve my goals.

Thank you, Agriculture University, Palampur, for being an integral part of my professional and personal life. I will always cherish the memories and lessons learned during my tenure here.”
