born on January 14, 1989 in Thathal village of Una district, Himachal Pradesh. Her parents Ramesh and Shubhlata Agnihotri are her rock solid support. She was a brilliant student from her childhood. Her parents had big expectation from her and hence they left no stone unturned to ensure the best possible education for her. She did schooling from DAV School, Dharmshala and later got admission in the prestigious Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, Palampur from where she completed her graduation in Agriculture.
It is pertinent to mention that these days CSKHPKV students are bringing laurels to the university. SDM of Palampur Dr. Gulleria is also alumna of CSKHPKV.
After completing graduation, she joined ING Vysya Bank as a Relationship Officer. Her first attempt to go for Government job was appearing in the HP Assistant Conservator Exam which she had easily cracked in 2011. She was not satisfied with this and wanted to do more to justify the faith shown by her parents. Few months later, the news of UPSC Civil Services result was before everyone.She succeeded in becoming an IPS officer in her first attempt
She was also chosen as the best woman trainee officer of her batch. President Pranab Mukerjee gave her these awards in a ceremony
