When do you have lesser chances of VBAC? Women with the same condition during the current
pregnancy that made C-section necessary in the past are unlikely to have VBAC. Obesity and pregnancy com plications like high blood pressure, deranged sugar lev. els and growth restrictions in the baby also reduce chances. Those with less than more than two past nancies, large babies, who’ve l 18 months between preg C-sections, those older than 35 or a race other than Cau
casian also have decreased prospects. When should VBAC not be offered?
VBAC must be avoided in cases of a previous C-section
with high vertical incision, uterine rupture in a pre vious pregnancy or if the woman has undergone cer tain uterine surgeries.
