Mr. Munish Sood awarded President Medal on the occasion Of Independence Day, 2023
The Karol Kalyan Sabha, a prestigious organization dedicated to recognizing excellence and contributions to society, honoured Mr. Munish Sood of Chandigarh who was awarded President Medal on the ocassion of Independence Day, 2023 for his meritorious and outstanding service.
Mr. Munish Sood is a sincere, hardworking and knowledgeable Officer. He Joined Prisons department on 04.01.2000 and was promoted as Deputy Superintendent(Administration) on 28.03.2022. Sh. Munish Sood in his 23 years of blemishless service in the Department has obtained all outstanding reports from more than 15 senior most Indian Police officers of the rank of Inspector General Of Police, Additional Director General Police and Director General of Police. He Rendered extraordinary service during these 23 years. He as member of committee assisted in preparation of draft Haryana Prisons Rules 2022 based on the concept of Model Prison Manual-2016 circulated by Government of India which has been notified in the Gazette Notification on 30.12.2022, which is for Welfare,Correctional reforms, rehabilitation and upliftment of Prison Inmates and best prison practices. He has provided exemplary assistance in management form activities and initiatives for prisons inmates namely education programmes, skill development programmes, cultural and spiritual activities and other welfare schemes for Prison inmates. His hardwork and devotion to duty have been appreciated by many senior officers. He has excellent knowledge of administration, Laws and Rules. His outstanding performance, extraordinary talent and skills makes him asset for any department.He is competent and intelligent officer having excellent leadership qualities. He has been awarded Medal first time since formation of Haryana State since 1966 in his carde.
Mr. Munish Sood was honoured by Sood Sabha Chandigarh for this achievement in Sood Milan Divas held in December, 2023. He is also been honoured by Karol Kalyan Sabha and appreciation award was given to him by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Karol ji of Supreme Court of India at the Annual Function of the Karol Sabha held on 14th April 2024 at Gummer, Jwalamukhi, Himachal Pradesh.
Mr. Munish Sood is associated with various social organizations such as the Sood Sabha Chandigarh, Panchkula, and other social institutions. He not only excels as a brilliant officer but also serves as an exemplary social worker, considering serving people his utmost duty.
