CSIR-IHBT Empowering Young Researchers on Nutraceuticals
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (IHBT) Palampur is organizing a workshop
(KARYASHALA) “Hands-on Training Program on Development of Nutraceutical
Based Formulations and Their Characterization” from 22 to 28 November,2022.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director, CSIR-IHBT inaugurated the workshop and
addressed the participants.
He welcomed all the attendees and thanked them for selecting CSIR-IHBT to get trained in the area of nutraceuticals. He also delineated upon the importance of understanding the quality of nutrients or phytochemicals present in the food which govern overall human health.
In his address, Dr. Kumar advised the participants to fully utilize the state-of-the-art institutional facility and acquire knowledge on nutraceuticals from the
experienced faculty.
The workshop is sponsored by the Science and Engineering Research Board,Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology,Government of India, Under Accelerate Vigyan.In this program, young researchers get an opportunity to acquire the requisite skills and vision for
high-quality research at the premier institute. As a whole, 25 M.Sc. and Ph.D.scholars across India are participating in this program. Besides the institute’sinternal faculty, many lectures will be delivered by eminent speakers from
academia and industries during the workshop. A trip to the nearby
nutraceutical industry is also on the agenda.
